Tuition Fees & Policies

We are committed to providing transparent, flexible, and reliable mathematics tuition. Below is a complete guide to our rates, billing methods, and attendance policies.

1. Tuition Rates

Group sessions require all participating students to be in the same school year group.

2. Invoicing & Billing Schedules

All invoices are issued via the Hnry accounting platform:

• In-Person 1-on-1 Sessions: Invoiced weekly.

• Online 1-on-1 Sessions: Invoiced two weeks in advance. Payment must be received prior to starting lessons for each two-week period.

• Group Sessions: Invoiced weekly in advance. Pre-payment is required prior to each week's scheduled group lesson.

3. Key Tuition Policies

Cancellation & Technical Policy

• 24-Hour Notice: If you need to cancel a lesson, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance (except in genuine emergencies). Late cancellations are billed at full price.

• Online Session Tech Responsibility: For online lessons, parents/students are responsible for ensuring hardware, software, updates, and internet connections are functioning properly. Any ICT or technical failure occurring within the 24-hour window will be treated as a late cancellation and billed at full price.

No-Show Policy

• For in-person home visits, if the tutor arrives and no one is home, the tutor will wait for 5 minutes. If no one arrives, the lesson will be canceled, and a fee equal to the full lesson price plus 20% will apply.

Payment Policy

• Invoices must be paid promptly. If you anticipate payment difficulty, please communicate with us immediately. Non-payment may result in lesson suspension or exclusion from group sessions.

Travel & Proximity Fees

To cover extended travel time for home visits, additional proximity fees apply based on one-way travel duration:

• 0–20 minutes (each way): No fee

• 20–25 minutes (each way): $5.00 per session

• 25–30 minutes (each way): $7.50 per session

• Over 30 minutes (each way): By special negotiation

Parking Fees

• If tuition sessions are conducted at the Palmerston North Library, any incurred parking fees will be added directly to the invoice.
